New header for my blog...thanks Laura!

So I created a new header for our blog. I like it so much better. I have been looking at other blogs for a while and thinking how neat but how did they do that!? I now have my pretty header. This website had a bunch of cute ideas for scrap booking for blogs that I may eventually use. I would like to put Haylee's birth pictures in a scrap book like that and maybe even have it printed. I wish Tyler's birth pictures were digital, but at least I have copies of them. So the website to make your own fun creations is scrapblog.com. The part that took me the longest was to find out how to make it as my header instead of like a slide show for a post or something. To save some of you some time, once you have created your picture (I had to crop mine several times so it wasn't completely enormous, so squish everything together when you create it) click on the upper left "File" and go down to "Export as JPEG" and just download to your computer as a picture. Then in your blogger you can add as a picture in your header. Have fun!

Sweet big brother!

(excuse his dirty face) What would I do without my Tyler. He is such a big help for me each day. Anytime I am finishing dishes or laundry or if I just need a shower, he is complete entertainment for Haylee. 90% of the time if she is crying of fussing, he can get her to stop. If I can't get right to her I can holler at Tyler to go play with her and he is always so willing. He does a great job at it too. He usually acts very silly and jumps around or dances just to get her attention. If she is in the floor playing he will grab one of his soft balls and he will roll the ball to her and she usually slaps at it so that it goes in the opposite direction. He jumps right up and rolls it to her again. He's always grabbing burp rags for me or a diaper or a paci! If he goes in her room before I do when she wakes up from her nap and she is laying funny or has a leg hanging out, he is very good to alert me right away. Even if she spits up (which is ALL the time) he is shouting from across the house...SPIT UP MOMMY! He even wipes it up. Such a servants heart already....Matt 20:28!

With this new baby coming, it gives me a little glimmer of hope that I'm not gonna be alone and he is my helper. I thank God for such a sweet caring big brother for my girls. The minute Haylee wakes up from the night or her naps she cant wait to come in the living room or wherever Ty is. The minute she sees him she starts kicking her feet and jumping up and down. A smile just comes over her face and she starts to squeal. Thank you God so much for the love you have given Ty towards his sister. It is already evident in her reactions towards him that she loves him in her own little ways. That is such a comfort to me and I pray that it will continue.

She reveals her pearly whites....

Today, Haylee decided to reveal the tops of her soon to be pearly whites. She smiled for this picture and just kept smiling and so I kept snapping. I couldn't decide which ones to show you so here is all of them.

Sweetness!!!!

Mystery Food

I have tried giving her some of these several times and she wants no part of it. This time was the closest we got to getting it in her mouth. All of the previous attempts she would pick it up and get mad because it would get stuck to her hand. She would fuss and start hitting her hand on her high chair. Not a fan of the mystery food.

So, I actually put it in her mouth my self and this is where it immediately went. Not interested in it at all!

Before I got her out of her highchair, I found one down her shirt on her chest...thought that was pretty funny!

A familiar face...

I know this isn't the clearest picture but you get the idea. This is one of the first times she has pulled herself up to me. After I uploaded this picture it looked very familiar to me.....

Tyler after he had started crawling. I think they are almost the same age in these pictures because Tyler started crawling at 6 months old. Haylee is now 7 months old and a few days. I wonder if Katelynn will look like her siblings or have a look of her own!

To share or not to share?

Haylee noticing the interesting toy bubba has...

Moving toward the toy and getting more interested...

Tyler tries to get her interested in a different toy of his.....

She still wants the big truck! See her reaching for it!

Tyler as he pushes it away. Right now I am asking if he can share with his sister. He said "no, not this one!" He is usually good about giving her a toy of his but this is the first occurrence where she has ventured out to get the one she really wants. She was so interested in it I'm sure because he was playing with it and I see this is going to be happening more as she gets even more mobil!

Bye Bye

Haylee learned how to wave Bye Bye a few weeks ago. She didn't do it very long so it is was hard for me to get a picture of it but here you go. She says Da Da as she is waving instead of Bye Bye. Pretty good for a 7 month old. Since she has been doing it for a few weeks, she has gotten good at doing it all by herself without me starting it. I've noticed when we are in her room and she wants to go out she is waving. If she is tired and ready for bed and wants to got to her room she is waving and saying Da Da also!

Every picture I took her hand is closed. I promise she can open AND close them!

She also likes to look at her hand when she is waving.

Looks like she is waving to herself!

Well, she figured it out.......

This is her on her hands and knees rocking. Still not crawling yet but she did figure out how to sit by herself.

Turning around and bending her knees!

And we are sitting. She can lay down and if that doesn't please her she can just sit up now without mommy's help. Right now she is wondering why Tyler is cheering for her.

What is all the fuss about mommy? I am happy for her but hope she doesn't move too fast into crawling.....it is getting harder and harder on me to bend over all the time to pick up toys and stuff much less chase her and keep her from getting into things.

JEEP JEEP!!

She is loving being outside in her Jeep and she is getting around very well...mostly going backwards. Just thought I'd share a cute picture. It seems like I only take pictures of Haylee but Tyler is just not into smiling or even getting his picture taken lately. I promise I try but Haylee is always willing to pose for the camera.....check out the next pose I got from her. Those are some sweet little legs.

(We are hoping she doesn't have daddy's legs)

2 Front Teeth

Well, 3 days shy of being 7 months and she has cut her first 2 bottom teeth at the same time. Hopefully she can get some rest now and mommy too!

You can't really see them but they are there and bless her heart they are coming in crooked. Hopefully they will straighten up as they grow all the way in.

Lord, give me patience with my sweet Tyler.....

So, it seems that my fellow blogger who just happen to be my best friends have been opening up on their blog. This is hard for me because when I put new posts up, I only want to share the happy things going on with the cute pictures. So, here we go. This is what I have been struggling with lately....

For those who don't know Tyler that well, he is a very curious little guy. He probably gets this from me at least that is what my husband tells me. I am very curious I guess but as an adult, I can contain the majority of it to myself. But my sweet 4 year old doesn't contain anything.

So lately he has had a question for every 3rd and 4th question. All day long I answer questions for him and most the time there is no answers for him. Bless his heart, he just wants knowledge I tell myself. I have thought that I could blog all of the questions he asked in one day and then blog them so you could see. But, I catch myself getting so frustrated with him that I don't want to answer him much less type them all out on my blog. It literally drains me.

This is awful and I feel so guilty because I know it is my job to raise him and get him ready for school and the world. I don't mind answering the questions that there is an answer for. It is the 3rd and 4th questions like a snowball effect that sends me over the edge and it is about everything all day long!

i.e. We drove past Hawaiian Falls the other day and he noticed the big water slides. He asked me what is that for....I have an answer for him...No problem, right? I tell him what it is and that maybe we will go when it gets hotter outside. Then we turn and go on down the road and he always says huh, not b/c he didn't hear but b/c he didn't catch everything I just told him and he has to know everything I just said! So I repeat what I just said.....not frustrated yet at this point unless Haylee is screaming or something. Then he moves to the 3rd question (2nd question was the Huh?) But, where did it go?.... Back there, mommy turned!....getting a little frustrated. (4th ?) But where mommy? as he tries to turn around......Behind us Tyler. (5th) But why........ now I'm getting pretty frustrated.... Because we turned Tyler......But where is it? So as you can see the questions start over and I want it to end so I end up most of the time yelling at him and tell him no more answers. I also started telling him...You ask too many questions Tyler which I wish I could take back. He now turns that around and tells me that when I am asking him important questions.

See, I am already spent telling you about it. This is my day all day. It is about one thing or another. The questions have been going on for a while but the past few weeks he has been doing that dead end brick wall thing with the questions. Ryan is good to tune him out when he gets to that point and it stops but he doesn't deal with it all day like me. Any advise is welcome. I don't want Tyler to think I don't want to hear what he has to say or to push him away. Lord, help me to see things through Tyler's eyes and to have extreme patience with him. Hep me to be renewed each day and to have more mercy towards Tyler.

On a side note..... if you could pray for him....he has been getting scared at night and even during the day. Dark rooms and going to bed have been not very fun lately. He has even been waking up in the middle of the night which is very frustrating. Not sure if it is this but, it has been going on since we went to the Zoo. He doesn't mention the Zoo or animals, just monsters and noises.

Who is that baby in the mirror?

She has started being super friendly with the baby in the mirror. This is her noticing "the baby."

Sharing some kisses with "the baby."

She has that "I got caught" look in her face doesn't she? Check out the slobber she left on the mirror. Sweet messy kisses!

Haylee learned how to blow BUBBLES out of her nose!!!

I know, it's not very lady like and just nasty but I couldn't help it, I had to take a picture! She has been suffering from allergies and we now have her on Zyrtec once a day EVERY DAY! Ryan and I both are very allergic to many things well, almost everything. So, I think all of our kids are going to suffer as well. Poor baby!

It looks like she is saying.......Yeah, it popped!

We are having a......................

GIRL!!!!!!!!! Yep, Ryan and I were kinda shocked. We both weren't sure with this one like we were with Haylee and Tyler but kinda thought it might be a boy. (Only because we had a boy name picked out.) The name we are going to settle on is Katelynn Joy. We are using Lynn after my dad and Joy after my mom's middle name. We are happy and think things will be easier the way things are. The 2 girls can just share clothes and a room and hopefully wont fight too much. I think the hard times will be when they are teenagers. Well, I've got time for the Lord to prepare and equip me for those days! We are grateful and thank God for our children who are blessings.
